Bulgarian poker professional Boris Angelov took down the €10,200 Mystery Bounty event at EPT Paris, securing a total of €217,100 in winnings. The prestigious high-roller tournament drew 75 entries and featured a strong, international lineup, but Angelov navigated the tough competition and the unpredictable bounty element masterfully to capture the title in the French capital.
Just eight players reached the official final table, qualifying for a share of the regular prize pool. Angelov collected €97,100 from the standard payouts, supplemented by €120,000 in bounty prizes, for his impressive €217,100 overall score.
The heads-up battle came down to another Bulgarian, Dimitar Danchev, resulting in a 1-2 finish for Bulgaria. Danchev—a former PCA Main Event champion and seasoned high-roller competitor—finished runner-up, earning €62,700 from the main prize pool plus €87,500 in bounties, totaling €150,200.
Uruguay’s Marcelo Bonanata rounded out the top three, taking home €44,800 from the regular prizes for his third-place result.
The final table included several well-known names from the European high-stakes circuit. Sweden’s Sven Andersson continued his solid form, banking €34,450 from the prize pool along with €10,000 in bounties for a total of €44,450. His compatriot Alexander Ivarsson picked up €21,050 in standard winnings and €22,500 from bounties, amounting to €43,550 overall.
Regular high-roller contender Alex Kulev also reached the final eight, departing with €16,850 from the main prizes and €22,500 in bounty cash for a combined €39,350. Austria’s Klemens Roiter placed fifth officially but benefited greatly from the Mystery Bounty format, collecting €26,500 in regular prize money plus €57,500 in bounties—making him the third-highest earner despite his finishing position.
Angelov’s victory underscores the enduring appeal of the €10,200 Mystery Bounty as one of the most exciting side events on the EPT schedule. With the Main Event currently underway, the 2026 edition of EPT Paris—making its return after a one-year absence—has already proven to be a resounding success.
